Backwards & Forwards with Anita Arrunategui

I’m back!

I have missed this special time to pour out some experiences, hopefully wisdom and be a comfort to those of you who are working out your life’s journey. We have been on a three week road trip…It has been quite a ride and I’m here to tell you it presented many facets of all that life has to offer. It was a moment in time to look back so we could understand our position today and then we could look ahead.

Let me explain…

As we all have experienced over the last two years, my husband and I had been in isolation, far away from our longtime family and friends. We packed up all our belongings, said our goodbyes and moved. That was exactly one year prior to the lockdown. Who would have guessed that we would have no choice but to sustain a prolonged period of seperation from those people and places that  we hold dear to us. All that changed this past three weeks as we planned a road trip back to our roots. The excitement of the preparation, the anguish of nine hours of  practically uninterrupted driving for days, and the warmth of finally meeting our family and friends was worth every mile. Most of our visits went well; a few had some unexpected “bumps” but all in all the experience left us with a sense of accomplishment, a feeling of belonging, a plethora of reminiscence and a reminder of past life lessons learned.

What we experienced was the dichotomy of where we had been…and now where we are headed. Our lives prior to working with EIS had so many elements that neither of us had realized that God was orchestrating for us (the good, the bad and the ugly) to land here. Each, a strategic happening, way back ( even thirty years ago and prior) that today is having a huge impact on this journey not only for our purpose in life but for those we work with.

The culmination of our time was the CYL/GYL event. We had the opportunity to meet the entire team whom we have the great pleasure of working side-by-side with, reuniting in person with Bill,  and speak into the lives of many of you who are finding your way in the world, putting all the pieces in place to maximize your potential and realizing your purpose through the connection  with others to allow it all to happen. All that you are experiencing today WILL have an impact on your future. Take it from me.

I hope to continue this exciting journey alongside many of you as you look back to go forward,  providing a space for growth, an arena for healing of brokenness, a handle for life’s present challenges and encouragement as you run this race. I look forward to connecting with you very soon.
